AT SUPERSTUDIO MAXI - GNIZIO PRESENTS: PANDEMICDESIGN
The Eco-Social artist, Luca Gnizio, brings a reflection on climate change

PANDEMICDESIGN A LIVE SCULPTURAL TRIPTYCH CREATED FROM ASPHALT
REMNANTS.
At the height of the pandemic, Nature endures, whilst man takes refuge in the prison of his four walls. Outside, time moves on. Slender blades of grass split the road. New shoots reclaim a world that has become deanthropised. The representation of the imperceptible yet relentless breathing of the Earth, between atavistic fears and post apocalyptic allure. The Anthropocene is translated into three elements closely associated with domestic life, a chair, a table and a painting, which are circumscribed by refuse bags, a metaphor for global pollution.Visually ending the account of “Forlastdrop”; is a chair-sculpture of recycled fragments of terracotta, in
which the cracks represent the parched earth and invite our reflection on the increasingly rapid pace of climate change and the unpredictable nature of the disasters that ensue. Closer observation reveals a tiny sprout, testimony that this earth that accommodates us possesses the greatest force.
